Thunder Jet is a family run business based in Sydney, Australia. We specialise in providing unique and fast-paced thrill rides, full of adrenaline and heart-pumping excitement on Sydney Harbour. Our customers, both locals and tourists from all around the world, pass some of Sydney’s most famous icons such as the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, Luna Park, Sydney harbour Islands, such as Fort Denison, and experience sightseeing with a twist! Our customers experience the most beautiful harbour in the world in the most exciting way possible.
We provide two adventure-packed rides – a 30 minute Thunder Thrill Ride and a 45 minute Extreme Adrenaline Rush Ride for those who want to experience the ocean swells! Both rides include a variety of stunts such as fishtails, spins, slides, wave riding, power brake stops & more! With our modern, safe, and advanced jet boat design, our rides will truly guarantee a thrilling wet and wild experience. Today’s chart-topping dance music is pumping during the ride, to give it a soundtrack to remember!

'Tornado' & 'lightning' sydney's newest & most advanced jet boats!
‘Tornado’ is the Harbour’s newest jet boat. It is the world’s most advanced jet boat based here in Sydney Harbour.
Our Thunder Jet Boats are unique and have been designed and built specifically for Sydney Harbour. ‘Lightning’ has been designed and built with Spins in mind and can perform 360° spins!
‘Tornado’ and ‘Lightning’ both feature a surround sound music system. The combination of the hull design, as well as the engine and jet unit configuration, means that fully loaded, ‘Tornado’ and ‘Lightning’ can both carry up to 23 passengers plus the driver. Our new updated boats feature the driver riding upfront with the passengers, in a high seat position so he has a clear view of all passengers.
With Twin 355hp Turbo Charged diesel engines, powering world-famous Hamilton Jet propulsion units, the jet boats pump out more than 900 Litres of water a second!

Thunder Jet Boating is a must-do adventure activity on Sydney Harbour. Our rides are great fun and safe for the whole family with our 100% safety record.
Every passenger is provided with an adjustable life jacket and splash-proof full-length poncho. Safety demonstrations are given before the ride and everyone is strapped in with a seatbelt to prevent sliding across the seats during spins. Handrails are also located in front and passengers are instructed to hold on during the ride. Our skippers check how everyone is doing throughout the ride to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety. All passengers with existing health and physical conditions must inform a member of the crew before participating in this adventure.
One Assumption of Risk form each is required for all participants and for those under 18 years, they must be signed by a responsible adult (18+) on their behalf.
